- Silverado Days draws about 200,000 people over a
3-day period to Peak Park in Buena Park
- The festival is sponsored by the Buena Park Noon
Lions Club, and this shindig raises thousands of dollars for local
charities every year
- Local businesses can join the booster club to
help offset festival costs and ensure more money for local charities
- Last year there were 16 food booths, 20 game booths,
85 arts and crafts booth and 30 carnival rides to share with your
family and friends
- The carnival is open Friday from 4 to midnight (rides
open at 5), Saturday from 10:00 to midnight and Sunday from 10 to 9
(rides open at 12:00 noon Sat. and Sun.)
- Featured contests include World Amateur Arm Wrestling
Championship, Custom Car
Show,a pie-eating contest, International Chili Society Chili Cook
off, hog calling, sexiest/hairiest
legs, Little Miss Chili Pepper & Mr Hot Stuff Baby
Contest, dog show and Karaoke Contest.
- Great entertainment on the main stage
including the High Tops, Lisa
Haley and the Zydekats, Buena
Park Youth Theater, Andy Rau
Bluegrass Band, RAYMOND MICHAEL - America's Best Elvis
Impersonator, Country Kickers,
Kahuna Cowboys Jug Band, Boy's N
Berries and Steel Parade.
The
Shamrock Regiment
Boosters operates a booth in the food court. Come support the
Shamrock Regiment and have some fried zucchini, onion rings or chili
cheese fries. Have a
snack while you enjoy the various forms of entertainment on center
stage.
