Placentia Heritage Festival and Parade

Saturday, October 11, 2008

Save the Date! On October 11th the City of Placentia will be "Celebrating Dreams and Imagination" at the 44th Annual Heritage Festival and Parade. The Festival will be held at Tri-City Park located on Kraemer Blvd. at Golden. The day will begin with the Chamber of Commerce Pancake Breakfast from 6:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m. The Parade begins at 9:30am and travels from Morse Ave. north on Kraemer to Tri-City Park. The parade will be led by our famous and much loved Grand Marshal….MICKEY MOUSE. Following MICKEY will be over 200 parade entries including bands, marching groups, VIPs, clowns, and boy and girl scout troops. An award winning roper will also entertain along the parade route.

The Festival is open from 10:00am until 3:30pm with entertainment featuring DJ music, jugglers, mimes, clowns and a large game area for the kids with giant inflatables to climb and slide. A 40 foot bungee jumper, face painting and balloon animals will delight them. The food court will be open all day and will serve a variety of taste tempting treats including barbecue, tacos, Hawaiian, desserts and much more.

The car show will feature over 200 antique, custom, hot rod and classic cars on display. This year check out the neat boats too. Come and enjoy one of the largest car shows in the area, look at the cool car show t-shirts and take a chance in their opportunity drawing.

The Chamber of Commerce Business Expo will open at 10am with over 30 businesses represented. This is a great time to meet and gain knowledge from local entrepreneurs. There will be door prizes and a grand prize drawing.

The Craft Fair will have 40 vendors stocked with plenty of handmade items for purchase. Local non-profit organizations will also have booths through out the park distributing information about what they provide for our city.  Come to the park and bring the family to enjoy the day. We truly have something for everyone. See you there!
