The La Palma Days Band Review will be held on November 9th and is one
of Southern California's premiere band competitions. It will feature
over 200 units including junior and senior high school bands, JROTC
units, veterans, military entries, celebrities, dignitaries, elected
officials, local schools, clubs and organizations, businesses, the
Orange County Fire Authority, and others - all parading down Walker
Street, from Houston to La Palma Avenue! The Band Review will begin
just south of the Orangethorpe/Walker St. intersection and continue to
J.F. Kennedy H.S. Percussion Contest Held at JFK High School. Awards to
follow at Central Park. Judging provided by SCSBOA.
The bands will be
forming up in the industrial complex on Fresca Drive and Marlin Circle
and then will head south on Walker Street. The Band Review starts at
9:30 a.m. with the community parade beginning at 10:00 a.m. The
judges' stand will be on
Walker between Orangethorpe and Houston. When the bands get to Houston
Avenue, they merge in with the community parade and proceed down to our
alma mater. This is our hometown parade and is a great day. You don't
want to miss it!
