La Palma Days

Saturday, November 12,

Unfortunately, after
reviewing the weather forecast for Saturday morning, it is with great
disappointment that the City of La Palma has decided to cancel the 2011
La Palma Days parade, band review, and festival. If you have questions,
please call (714) 690-3350.
The La Palma Days Parade and Band Review, designated the official
Orange County Veterans Day Parade, will feature over 120 units
including 35 junior and senior high school bands, JROTC units,
celebrities, dignitaries, local schools, clubs and organizations; all
parading down Walker Street from Houston to La Palma Avenue to
emphasize La Palma's great community spirit! The bands will be
forming up in the industrial complex on Fresca Drive and Marlin Circle
and then will head south on Walker Street. The Band Review starts at
9:45 a.m. with the community parade beginning at 10:00 a.m. The
judges' stand will be on
Walker between Orangethorpe and Houston. When the bands get to Houston
Avenue, they merge in with the community parade and proceed down to our
alma mater. This is our hometown parade and is a great day. You don't
want to miss it!
