Days 3 & 4 – Nenagh & Limerick

On Saturday, March 13 we Depart to travel across Ireland to the West Coast.  Tentative performance scheduled in the City of Nenagh around Noon.  Lunch on your own or with hosts following performance.  Continue onto Limerick and check in at the hotel.  Dinner at the hotel, perform in concert at the University of Limerick (7:00 p.m.)  Return to hotel.

On Sunday, March 14 the morning is at leisure to attend the church of your choice or have some free time in the City of Limerick.  Lunch on your own.  Depart for the McDonald’s Limerick International Marching Band Competition (begins at 11:00 a.m.)  Return to hotel.  Dinner at hotel, tentative disco party in Limerick, return to hotel.

[NENAGH CASTLE] 

Tipperary is Ireland's largest inland county. North Tipperary borders counties Clare and Limerick and the entire west of the county borders Lough Derg, the biggest lake on the Shannon. Sights to see while in North Tipperary include the town of Roscrea and its castle, and Holy Cross Abbey.

Limerick International Marching Band Parade

Bands from around the world perform at this annual parade through the centre of Limerick.  Hailing from Ireland, England, Eastern Europe and the USA, the finest marching bands take to the streets, their brasses polished and their uniforms spotless. The parade is accompanied by twirling majorettes and colour guards.
